What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care is treatment, support and care for individuals with long term or terminal illness, The aim is to make them as comfortable as possible with dignity and respect maintained.
At SNE care we believe compassion is at the heart of the care and we understand that you want to spend your last moments in the comfort of your own home surrounded by your loved ones making those lasting memories together. All our staff are fully trained in Palliative care.
What our Care Team offer:
- Personal care such as bathing, bed baths, dressing & dental care
- Continence care
- including toileting, catheter care, stoma care and continence and bowel management
- Pressure sore Management including regular repositioning
- Pain Management including administering medication as well as controlled drugs to manage pain
- Our team will also be in close contact with the District Nursing/Palliative care team to ensure each individual is as comfortable as possible
- Mouth care
- Companionship
- Meal management.
